National Eligibility cum Entrance Test

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national-level medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. It is the only entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical courses in India, including MBBS, BDS, and Ayush courses. NEET is an important exam for students who aspire to become doctors and healthcare professionals in India. The exam is structured to test the candidate’s knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The NEET syllabus covers three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Physics and Chemistry carry 45 questions each, while Biology carries 90 questions. The syllabus for NEET is based on the NCERT curriculum for classes 11 and 12. The NEET exam is usually conducted in May every year, and the registration process is online, and candidates can apply through the official website of NTA.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts the joint admission process for a total of 23 Indian Institutes of Technology, 31 National Institutes of Technology, 25 Indian Institutes of Information Technology campuses and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) based on the rank obtained by a student in JEE-Main or JEE-Advanced, depending on the engineering college.
